We have recently been having a lot of issues regarding returns especially returns we have not authorised or even been contacted about. As you can imagine customers are returning items and expecting full refunds plus reimbursement for the cost of postage for the service they have used some of these are adding up to £16 and above for items that are only worth say £30 so we are at a loss for the original shipment costs plus what customers have paid for return shipping. We were wondering if anyone has been experiencing the same issues and/or what systems different sellers are using for returns in general,

Are these FBA or FBM returns?
From your post it sounds like you are referring to FBM returns where the buyers never contacted you but shipped the goods back, right?
If the returns are discretionary, then you aren’t required to cover the return postage. In case the merchandise is sent back after more than 14 days past delivery, you only need to refund it’s price.
