Can't re-activate account or close it

Is there an email address to contact Amazon that is manned by an actual human being?

I’m constantly funnelled into the same Seller Support blackhole when attempting to re-activate my account so I’ve decided to close my account and that is also impossible.

You will not be able to close your account if it is deactivated. The only way to close is to get it reactivated and then ask them to close it.
However, going back to your original thread, you need to sort out your verification.
Did you ever register with HMRC as sole-trader, as advised and then request that SS enable you to input your UTR. That is the only way you will be verified with a Business Seller Account (the legal entity). Professional is not the name of an account type, only a selling plan.
