Three times in the last week I have had customers message me after I had sent items out on Hermes, what was due to arrive by the Amazon Estimated Delviery date, saying the goods was needed by a date BEFORE the last day of the delviery window.
In each case I informed them that the goods had already been sent out, and that under the Consumer Contract Act 2015, they had a duty to mitigate any loss to a retailer, by making them aware of any significant details. If they had of done before dispatch, I either would refuse the order, or put it on a Next Day Service, if there was enough profit in the transaction.
However, in case, the items have arrived in the window, and then been reported as “damaged” when they opened them, what then makes it a seller paid return.
Is anyone else experiancing this?
