Using FBA- barcode query?

Hi,

I’d love some help understanding FBA. I’m new to Amazon handmade and some of my products I’d love to do FBA.

I’m stuck on barcodes. I only have an inkjet printer so I need amazon to print them for me but… here is the part I’m stuck on… everywhere I look it says I need to supply my product with a barcode for Amazon to accept it… so how does that work? It seems like a catch 22 to me

If anyone can shed any light, I’d be very grateful
