Account Info Verification

It has been more than 6 months since I opened my account and while all documents were verified, I was asked to verify my information again afterwards. At this time they could not verify the documents I provided and they closed my account. During this process, documents accepted from my country of residence were updated. Because of this, they were able to verify the documents I provided. Verification team verified all my information, but Seller Performance Team did not unsuspend my account. When I contact:

"> Your Amazon seller account has been deactivated in accordance with section 3 of the Amazon Services Europe Business Solutions Agreement. Your listings have been removed. Funds will not be transferred to you but will be held in your account while we work with you to address this issue.

Ship any open orders to avoid further impact to your account.

Why is this happening?
We have taken this measure because we need additional documentation to verify your identity. For more information, review the Amazon Services Europe Business Solutions Agreement:

How do I reset my account?
To reactivate your account, please confirm that there is a valid credit card on file and provide one of the following documents in PDF, PNG, JPEG, or GIF format. The documents must be legible, authentic, and unaltered and contain the required information. We do not accept screenshots. The name and address on the document must match the information entered in Seller Central.
– A business license if applicable
– A utility bill dated within the last 90 days for piped gas, natural gas, electricity, piped water, mobile phone, fixed-line phone, or internet service with name and address visible

Ensure that the provided documents are in one of the supported languages. Supported languages include Arabic, simplified Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese. If the documents are not in one of the supported languages, you must submit a notarized translation into one of the supported languages along with the original document.".

I got a notification as above. To summarize my situation, I am not a UK resident and I founded my company in UK. For this reason, our company address is a virtual address even though it is a physical place. I cannot provide the utility bill requested from me, the other option is a business license, but I do not understand what kind of document is requested with this term.

Can you please help me with this?

In the UK, a business licence is usually only required if you’re doing something specialised, such as selling food or insurance (to name but two examples).

It sounds as if Amazon are not accepting your virtual office address, doubtless because it doesn’t allow you to supply the utility bill(s) they require. I can think of only one solution to this: move to an address that will allow you to supply those.

Just because you yourself are not a UK resident doesn’t preclude your company from renting a real office here.

In the meantime, I talked to the place where I got service, they could give me an address verification certificate with an e-signature. Will this be the solution?

I also contacted HMRC and Amazon based on your suggestions and they informed me that there is no need. Because I have a company and this company itself operates as a legal entity. That’s what Limited means anyway, I’m not a sole proprietorship myself and I can’t be, because I’m not a UK resident.

As you haven’t provided a vat number, amazon expect you to own / rent premises here hence the request of the utility bill

Something in the information you have provided amazon is not correct as they are usually requiring ltd company docs, uk vat number, and personal ID for a non UK seller
