Alcohol Chocolates USA

I am working for a client who sells chocolate and is trying to launch on Amazon.com in the USA.

They sell chocolates, a lot of which contain alcohol, just as a flavouring, its a mimimal amount, around 0.1% ABV, but Amazon is taking all product detail pages down in the USA and threatening to destroy items we have sent into FBA.

Is there any way around this - it is crazy really.

Are they threatening to destroy them because of the alcohol or because they would be in breach of their meltable FBA policy?

Also, Amazon’s policy in the US prohibits the sale of items which “encapsulate raw alcohol”. Could that be why?

Alcohol sales arent allowed on amazon usa (unless pre-approved wine seller) therefore I’d assume alcoholic chocolates arent either
