Amazon Hazardous Goods Review Issue

#1

Hello,

Recently, we submitted a product for hazmat review. The documentation required was provided on the 24th of January and when we tried to replenish stock it said we had to wait until the review was complete.

Since then, this error has been removed and replaced with an error reading “Not classified: Unable to classify”.

Does anyone know what this means?

Many thanks,

Is this something you have previously been selling but which has now been requested for hazmat review (you mention replenishment of stock)?

Unable to classify can suggest that Amazon was unable to determine if the constituents of the product can be safely stored in their FC’s. Some of these can be very spurious. We have had situations in the past where we could list a plastic model kit but couldn’t list the same kit with acrylic paint, even though the paint was not hazardous.

Hi @ Industrial_Plasters,

Did you get any update about the verification process?

Kind regards,
Julia.

Hi Julia,

Thank you for reaching out. We did get an update.

There was a brief pause before we got an update where it said “not classified”, but there was an issue with our SDS which was a missing UNID value.

Kind regards,
Industrial Plasters

Hi @ Industrial_Plasters,

Thank you for the update!

Is the issue solved at the end?

Hi Julia,

Sorry, we are still facing issues. We have an ASIN which is a kit that contains two items in a box. Only one of the items is hazardous so I submitted the SDS on the hazardous item. I have followed the guidance on hazardous goods documentation but still no luck and I don’t know what is wrong with my SDS.

Thanks,
Industrial Plasters

Hi @ Industrial_Plasters,

Thank you for coming back with the update.

I can see, that in the last communication you have received a detailed checklist regarding the SDS. Please let me know if you need any clarification.

Kind regards,
Julia.
