Amazon keeps asking me for mobile number

Everytime I sign into my Amazon business account it asks me to add a mobile number to the account.
Trouble is I also have a personal Amazon account and I have assigned my mobile number to that account. When I enter it again for my business account, Amazon tell me the number is already assigned to a different account so won’t let me use it.
Hardly a major problem but very annoying - Surely Amazon realise people may have both a Personal and Business Account? I’m not going to buy a different phone for business use.

Have the exact same issue - the fact that you can’t have a business and personal account with the same number is ridiculous! An oversight I am sure, but how it hasn’t been fixed is beyond me.

Odd - I have the same mobile number registered on both Buyer & Seller accounts. The OTP comes through fine.

Same, but I’m not that easy to get anymore. I don’t just dish out my number to strangers. Stranger danger and all that :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I have the exact same phone number registered in each of my accounts as well.

But from the forum discussions it appears like some features work differently for various merchants.

I think it maybe as a backup for the 2 step verification.

I thought you were only allowed ONE Amazon account, and if you had more than one you could get the boot??

I expect that this is one reason why Dual Sim phones are so popular.
Two numbers - one phone.
Easy to have a cheap PAYG sim for the additional number.

A annoying thing, but have to do, just use your mom’s number.
