Amazon received more stock than we sent
Hi everyone,
So over the weekend we sold out of one of our products. The next day I was surprised to go on to our FBA inventory and notice 10 extra units appeared from nowhere. I then checked our shipments, which we do on a daily occurrence. The ‘located items’ had increased by 10. This could not have been the case, we keep clear records of what was sent and also we only purchased a certain amount.
The issue now is that these 10 units all sold yesterday and have been shipped!
I have no clue what an earth could be being shipped to our customers! Our shipment is still in ‘Receiving’ and therefore, according to the message on the tab, we cannot open an investigation?
We are happy to wait this out and see what has actually happened, however we are wary that if the wrong product has been sent by Amazon then we as the seller might get some bad feedback! Has anyone else had an issue like this?

Actually talking about this on this thread:
But even if they are sending out these phantom units to customers, I wouldn’t worry too much about feedback. As it will be removed if Amazon have messed up. As they do with 99.9% of delivery issues.
