Attribute metal_type will be required in the Jewellery category all EU marketplaces

When listing products on Amazon in the EU, sellers must ensure compliance with a portion of REACH regulations that govern the use of heavy metals (cadmium, nickel, and lead) in jewelry.

Handmade is working behind the scenes to make the Metal Type attribute required in the Handmade jewelry category as soon as possible and hope to have this enabled by the end of October. Until then, please ensure that you are documenting the metal type for your items in the Jewelry category. You’ll currently find this attribute in the More Info tab of the listing experience. Once the Metal Type attribute is made mandatory, the attribute will move to the Vital Info tab.
