Brand Registry Pending Trademark

So, I had a hijacker on one of my branded listings about three months ago and surprise surprise during these three months Amazon have done nothing to remove this person. I even bought their product, showed that it wasn’t even the same packaging as the listing but still, no help at all.

I then got a trademark underway and brand registered with a pending trademark, still nothing could be done as it was pending, no problem!

Finally last week, my trademark got registered alas! Finally the hijacker can be removed! Nope sorry, it is still showing as pending on brand registry and i am being told to do a case on my seller account who then point me back towards the brand registry team! Amongst all of this and despite showing proof my account emails are the same on both and store is linked, apparently despite even showing proof, I am not even the rights owner according to Seller Support!

Absolute shambles service and it is no wonder that anyone can go on anyone’s listing as they please as there is no policing whatsoever and no care for the sellers.

So after venting my question really is, does anyone have any idea how long after registration the brand registry system updates to reflect the change from pending to registered?

Thanks

When you say a hijacker, you do realise that the listings and catalogue entries on Amazon do not belong to you. they belong to Amazon.

At the point of when someone else shared the listing, it wasn’t branded and if the same product regardless of packaging then this is fair game.

You have retrospectively then branded a listing that was previously generic and one would argue that if the product is gone from a generic product to a brand then perhaps a new listing should reflect that. If the actual product is the same, then they are perfectly entitled to be on the listing.

There is a lot of policing on this but perhaps Amazon may not share your view.

With regards to your question, you may be able to have it removed from brand registry if Brand registry accept that the listing will be changed to your brands.

The whole point of brand registry is to develop your brand and protect the brands that you own. It is not there simply to gate your products and the listings being used by others. It maybe that Amazon will not accept another listing of the product if they feel the existing listing is open for all to use.
