Can CBD be sold?

Genuine CBD oil is a controlled substance in the UK, despite the UK being one of the worlds largest exporters of CBD based products.

Drug listings must not be for controlled substances or products containing controlled substances, such as:

Products containing cannabidiol (CBD), a Schedule I Controlled Substance, including but not limited to:
Rich Hemp Oil containing cannabidiol (CBD)

Products that have been identified as containing CBD by LegitScript
Hemp products containing Resin or tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)
Hemp (or any cannabis Sativa spp. strain) seeds capable of germination
Anything listed in Schedules I, II, III, IV or V of the Controlled Substances Act (for more information, see: Schedules of Controlled Substances), such as:

For clarification! (as clear as mud) yes, this is prohibited and can result in a seller losing their account, although some still manage to continue…one rule for some? In any case definitely not worth the risk of losing seller privileges.

Thank you for enlightening me

Within reason, and totally dependent on quality of product.

There speaks a “connoisseur” :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The ones that have the highest THC content! Interesting situation in the UK with this product , we are or were the largest producer and exporter of CBD products in the world but it’s still a controlled substance for medical use along with recreational use in the UK.

Britain is the world’s largest producer of legal cannabis, a new report from the United Nations has revealed.

Ninety five tonnes of marijuana was produced in the UK in 2016 for medicinal and scientific use, accounting for 44.9 per cent of the world total, its International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) found.

The UK is also the largest exporter of the drug, with 2.1 tonnes exported in 2016 – roughly 70 per cent of the world’s total, the report stated.

hahaha… not a consumer but CBD products can/may have benefits to some medical users, but there is far too much placebo bs spoken about such products and far too many bogus CBD products out there…it has pretty much got to this point now:

Happy Friday lovely people

Sold as a food supplement, CBD is legal for sale as long as below legal threshold for THC and makes no health claims.

Your correct there, there are a number of Sellers , selling similar products on Amazon but it appears the use of CBD in the title is very limited most list their products as Hemp Oil, this may be due to Amazon bots scanning “CBD” just be wary of whatever you plan to sell is right from the outset otherwise it’s likely to cause an account suspension or ASIN deactivation etc.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) issued a statement in 2016 classifying CBD as a medicine, and to be used as a medicine it must also be accompanied by a product license. In November 1stof the same year another statement was issued to say that CBD will also be considered as a product to treat or manage the symptoms of medical conditions.

In short, the agency was saying that any company producing or making CBD oil in the UK with any medical claims would need a license to continue doing so. They would also need to adhere to strict regulations and quality controls. The decision acted as a gateway for the sale of CBD as a nutritional or food supplement. As long as no medical claims were made then recreational CBD oil is perfectly legal to buy, posses, and trade within the UK.

The marketplace has been booming ever since.

@PCBuyIT …absolutely correct my friend!

We (UK) are the largest producer of legal mary jane in the world and with one of the most twisted political backgrounds of how British Sugar and the UK Drugs Minister’s husband became the main dealer (you couldn’t write this stuff!) …She puts home growers in prison while her husband makes a fortune in his ‘legal dealings’…Regardless of personal stance on the subject, this has been one of the largest political punches in the face for UK citizens ever, but due to the subject matter (understandably), the British public are not picking up on the absolute legal and political hypocrisy to want to take issue with this.

" We (UK government and pharmas) will grow what we want and charge serious illness patients what we want…You Mr/Mrs MS sufferer grow and we may (not always ‘will’ to be fair) throw you in a prison to teach you a lesson…

Right …lets get down from up here shall we Lee haha

Yes they don’t want ordinary people selling CBD for medicinal purposes because that would spoil the party for big pharma.

This statement in the Telegraph it says all…

Steve Rolles, Transform’s Senior Policy Analyst said: "It is scandalous and untenable for the UK government to maintain that cannabis has no medical uses, at the same time as licensing the world’s biggest government approved medical cannabis production and export market."

As a food supplement manufacturer, one couldn’t possibly comment :money_mouth_face:

I’ll buy some smack off ya.

Nice to see you back Snowy.
Dow…nnn Boy! xx

…no problem! How many would you like?!
