Can't upload product, declined by Amazon seller application

New seller here, need some advice

I bought some products from a wholesaler from the diy section so small items non electric things but they are branded and have a barcode on them.

I have found similar products by the same brand (that is registered in the catalogue) however it seems to me that Amazon have the brands older version of products and not their new models.

When i apply to create new ASIN for the products and gave all the relevant info, ean, photos of the products my application is still rejected because ‘the x brand does not have a product in that x category’ when clearly it does.

Am i wasting my time here? When i walk around a wholesaler it seems theres so many products not on the Amazon catalogue am i supposed to just buy existing products?
