Change of address once item shipped FBM
Hi,
This morning we shipped an item via Hermes, the customer has since messaged to say the postcode is wrong.
Can we change the address?
If so what is the safest and best way to change the addresses?
We are worried there could be something strange going on so want to make sure we operate with in Amazons policies to cover us.
Thanks for any help.

No. According to Amazon Customer Policy:
"Sellers can’t change the shipping address for you once you’ve submitted your order. If you need to update the shipping address and the item hasn’t shipped yet, you’ll need to request a cancellation and order again."

If you’ve already shipped it then how can you ?
And when inputting the postcode into the database it will usually flag up if there is an error.
Funnily enough, I had just that situation yesterday, though it was an ebay sale. When I input the postcode it flagged up a different road name. I contacted the buyer and discovered that her son had input the address, but accidentally used his own postcode out of habit !
Easily resolved.
With your scenario, can you not just check online (via Google) and see if the address and postcode match ?
