Chosen courier service not available with error to upgrade 48 hour post to 24 hour service

HI,

I am using 3rd party Cloud commerce SOftware and its been working fine untill last week when i start receiving this problem for all 48 Hour SFP Orders

“Chosen courier service not available ‘ROYAL_MFN_TRACKED_48’, please select another rule from the following: ROYAL_MFN_TRACKED_24”

I did log this problem with account handler but had no solution after a week still. can somebody please help me as i have to upgrade all SFP orders from 48 to 24 hour service which is financially hitting me badly from last week.

I been told this problem is from Amazon end as there is no problem with software.

We use buy shipping and we cannot purchase Royal Mail Tracked 48 either, there has to be a problem somewhere

We too use CCPro.

Its not an issue with them, its with Amazon.

We only use Royal Mail as a the SFP carrier.

What i have worked out today:

Items on our SFP Small & Light shipping template (£9.00 and under) can still get T48 via CCpro, so no change.

With the Nationwide Prime shipping template, it seems that only T24 can be chosen.
Nationwide prime has 3 service levels:

Standard
2-Day
1-Day

1 and 2 day service cant use T48 as that’s a 3-5 day service so T24 or SD it is, again no change.
It all falls down on the Standard service as when you now go into Amazon, you can only select T24 albeit that the Transit Time allowed is 3-5 days exc handling, so the estimated delivery date for an order going out today is Friday, so we used to be able to send these orders by T48 until these issues started a couple of weeks ago, we can now only use T24, so it if you want to stay within the metrics for shipped via Amazon buy shipping, you have to upgrade to T24 and the order arrives way ahead of the estimated delivery date.

The other option is to send it via T48 through your own shipping rule set up in CCPro for RM Tracked 48, however this will affect your metrics.

When we set our prices, we use the T24 shipping price as you do not know if its an Amazon prime or Non prime customer purchasing, and usually, Prime customers will go with 1-day shipping as it no extra cost.

So where we used to have a Standard order that was sent it T48, we used to gain £1.23 before fees for that order.

If you use CCPro to produce the shipping labels, then what we do is use the filter to find the courier rule ROYAL_MFN_TRACKED_48 and then select all the ones over £9.00 in order value and bulk change them to ROYAL_MFN_TRACKED_24 or to your own RM account T48 Rule.

I’m not sure if its a fault or a deliberate act on Amazons part to keep its customers happy with no further cost to them!!

It is Amazon at fault, not your software.

SS say they know the issue and to not use Buy Shipping but to use Royal Mail, they also say to screenshot each and put in an email each Monday and inform them and to let Seller Performance know as well.

I said they will be inundated with work, and could still affect our metrics, which even they agree is likely.

I suggested for them to put on the main page and automatically not count against us, they agree, but as usual do nothing to help.

We’ve been told that (I’m paraphrasing):
“Due to repeated and recurrent instances of Tracked 48 API failures and other issues, as well as the service itself being unreliable (late deliveries) we will shortly be withdrawing Tracked 48 as a Prime eligible service, and removing the Small and Light SFP template”

I really hope not.
It’s still there for us today when buying via the site, but our software has been intermittently failing with API access for the last few weeks.

WE HAVE NOW BEEN SENT THIS EMAIL (after a chat with SS).

So basically if you pay £79 a year to Amazon for Prime, or you do not pay anything, everyone gets a next-day delivery if ordered from a SFP Seller using DPD or Royal Mail and are not in an Amazon Shipping area.

Amazon say to put up prices, but if competitors do not increase prices, or competing with non-SFP Sellers, then a loss of £1.23 per order.

As Tracked 48 is a 2 to 5 day delivery, I am sure hardly any are more than 5 days (Mon-Sat), and as the issue is only for Standard shipping on that timescale, why an issue?

If the issue is Small and Light using Tracked 48, then do not say it is a 2-day delivery, and have an upgrade to 1-day for say an extra £1.50 even for Prime buyers.

Thoughts?

Dear Seller,

Greetings from Amazon.

My name is Anisha and this is in regards to the recent telephonic conversation that we had about the Royal Mail Tracked 48 service. Please note that in order to use Amazon Shipping, your warehouse needs to be located in an area that is currently served by Amazon Shipping and you must ship more than 20 packages every day.

If you would like to sign up, please login to your seller central account and then click the link https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/seller-fulfilled-prime/register/thank-you.

On the opened page,

  1. Click “Check Amazon Shipping Eligibility” button that is located below point 1 “REQUIRED: Complete set up with a Prime Carrier”.
  2. Please follow the instructions on the page that pop up. If you are eligible, you can request orders’ collection and Amazon shipping team member will contact you 5-7 days prior to selected pick up date to help you with set up.

If you do not see “Check Amazon Shipping Eligibility” button, it means that unfortunately Amazon Shipping cannot serve your account.

Also, as per the latest update that has been received by our internal team, I would like to inform you that based on the complaints received from the users of Royal Mail service, a research was conducted on the success rate of Royal mail. A time period of the past 12 months were considered and only the Tracked 48 Service was investigated. The investigation team could see that a huge number of orders were not delivered within the promised 48 hours window.

As you know, Royal Mail offers the Tracked 24 and the Tracked 48 services. Royal mail has been successful with the Tracked 24 service as it delivers the orders in 1 day. However, the Tracked 48 hours service has not been a favorable outcome. As mentioned earlier a lot of complaints were received from the buyers and the sellers, as the orders took more than 2 days to be delivered. Hence, due to the lack of quality in delivering on time, our internal team has taken an executive decision of temporarily holding the Royal Mail Tracked 48 hours service from being available in the Amazon Buy shipping service.

We sincerely apologize that this message could not be not passed onto the sellers before making the changes, as the issue was investigated in high priority basis and we were receiving numerous complaints regarding the service, for which the changes were made within a very short span of time.

Throughout the year, we make changes to the prime promise based on the growth of Seller Fulfilled Prime and the order volumes that we see going into the delivery networks, and the performance of the network. With any change we make, customer experience is always the top priority. As the program grows in size and its’ services expand, we need to ensure that the high bar on customer experience is maintained. By making any changes, Amazon aims to increase the proportion of orders that are delivered within the promised delivery time.

Having the Tracked 48 hours service removed, sellers will have other prime services available including the Tracked 24 hours service to fulfill their prime orders. I certainly understand that the Tracked 24 service is comparatively expensive than the Tracked 48 hours service. Given below are the workarounds you may wish to consider.

  1. Getting onboarded with additional supported prime carriers, the Amazon logistics or/and DPD. By doing so, you may keep using the Royal Mail for fulfilling your Next day delivery orders and use one of the other prime carriers for fulfilling the Second day delivery orders.
  2. Overcoming the pricing issue by editing the item price to cover the difference in the shipping cost incurred because of using Tracked 24 service.

The Seller Fulfilled Prime Team is looking for suggestions on new Seller Central features that will help to improve your experience with Seller Fulfilled Prime. If you would like to share your suggestions with them, kindly email to ‘uk-sfp-feedback@amazon.com’ and add your Seller Central login email address for identification. Please be aware that this address is for collecting suggestions only which means that emails sent to this address cannot be answered.

If you have a Seller Fulfilled Prime inquiry that requires assistance, please open a new case through ‘Contact Us’ in Seller Central - https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/cu/contact-us
