Constant FBA invoice for small fee - but I dont do FBA
I asked this same question back in September but have not gotten any further in getting an answer and I cant find the thread.
Basically, I used to do FBA but stopped using it several years ago. At the time I stopped I asked to remove all stock. Yet every month since I have continued been invoiced a small FBA fee and I have no idea what this is for.
OK - its a nominal fee. It was just 41p a month until Nov 2022. Nov/Dec 2022 it went up to 57p a month
I opened cases with SS but either they go unanswered (Case from September still Open) or I get a reply which makes no sense.
One reply from SS said I still had an item in their warehouse so the fee was for storage. However, according to my FBA reports I have no stock. I also have no products registered in FBA (even with 0 stock). I have my FBA settings to remove stock automatically if it goes to long term storage anyway. I have also tried creating a removal order manually but it tells me there is nothing to remove so I can not get any further.
Is there an ongoing fee for FBA just in case I want to use it again? I know its a nominal amount but it just drives me crazy every month. Over the years its probably adds upto £20

The most likely reason, is that you have a single item stuck in the system, that you no longer have an SKU for. It should show up as stranded, but I have the same issue, with a single item in Germany, that I cannot do anything with, that they continually charge a nominal fee for.
It doesn’t appear anywhere, except for one of the inventory reports, which I eventually found myself.
I gave up trying to get it sorted, the time/effort with support, just isn’t worth it.
But if you really want to get it sorted, then you can only keep bugging support, until you get a straight answer.
And no, there is no ongoing fee for FBA.

If you can find the ASIN of the unit you can request disposal using the spreadsheet upload, that works for the random units in Germany etc too

I have this same fee in France and Germany. Never shipped there, never allowed storage in those countries. No idea how the units go there. Currently I owe Amazon around £0.50 in each but my payment method in those countries is not updated (new bank card same company).
I wonder if I leave those tiny bills unpaid would they close my entire global accounts down?
Probably.

I’ve got the same problem too. Have an item I haven’t had for years, stuck in Poland but getting 0.01 every now and then charges for Germany (long stopped selling at any other market beside UK). I can see it is there on the all countries inventory but no way of removing it.

Well I have had a response from SS - but as per usual absolutely none of the methods they suggest work.
They tell me to use one of these reports - Remove Unfillable Inventory, Fix Stranded Inventory or Recommended Removal Report to create a Removal Order for the item I have at a FC
The only trouble is - all of those reports do not show any items at all!
Under FBA Inventory it says:
Automated removal of aging inventory starts 30 Aug 2022, unless you opt out
Your settings have been updated to automatically remove aging inventory starting 30 Aug 2022. This change applies to inventory in fulfilment centres for more than 365 days
So anything I had at a FC should have been removed automatically anyway as of 30 August 2022
I have checked through previous invoices and this charge has been applied monthly now for last couple years.
I wander if I can ask for a refund of the charge for the period Sep 2022 to now as my settings (as proved by the statement above) should have meant this stranded ageing inventory should have been removed automatically.

Well according to Amazon I have an item at a UK FC
For some reason its not listed in any of the reports ‘Remove unfillable inventory’, ‘Fix stranded inventory’, ‘FBA Inventory’ or even ‘Recommended Removal’
It is just sitting there in my general FBM Inventory - so how it got to a FC I have no idea or even how I was supposed to tell that 1 product was the culprit from the 100s of other listings in my inventory.
Anyway - now SS keep telling me to create a Removal Order - but none of the methods they tell me to use work. Most say to use one of the reports above, despite me showing them that when I try none of them show anything to remove!
Then one SS agent tells me to use the Manage Inventory screen, select the item then use the ‘Action’ drop down to select ‘Create removal order’ - which I did but again next screen shows nothing. So I tried adding the item manually via the search function on that page. Searching on ASIN and it tells me I have no products. Searching on SKU and it finds it - but after I add the product, the quantity to remove columns are set to ‘N/A’ and I cannot change them - nor can I then finalise the Removal Order…
I sent screenshot to SS showing this and their reply was they have forwarded to technical. This was last Thursday evening and still no reply.
SS also keep ignoring the basic question as to why the ‘Automatic Removal’ did not kick in and the item automatically returned as it should have been as of August 2022
So I am being charged a small fee every month for storage of an item I am unable to remove.

Well Ive given up with SS on this issue.
None of the methods for creating a Removal Order that they give work
They said they would forward to Technical Team. I waited over a week and no update so I messaged to ask what was happening - only to just get back the exact same information about creating a removal order - even though I have said in previous messages and proven with screenshots that they do not work.
I even tried the suggestion by Postees
But the item is in my Inventory already with 0 stock (even though according to Amazon I have 1 in CWL1 FC) so I am unable to create a new listing and I cannot assign the item in CWL1 to the listing (even though it has same SKU)
Anyway, I have now emailed MD to seek a resolution.
I have given them 28 days to either return or dispose of the item and to stop charging me a monthly storage fee. If after this time its not resolved I am considering Small Claims court and then I will be asking for the fees to be backdated to the time I recalled all stock from FBA - which was now a couple years ago.

Response from email to MD - we will contact you in 2 days:-
They then created a case for SS (despite me already having a Case active) and 3 days later I get told they are still looking into the issue.
Result from spreadsheet upload to dispose of item:-
I received no error when I did this 2 days ago - but item still appears in Manage Inventory (but only when ‘All’ filter is selected for ‘Fulfillment Type’ - filtering on ‘Amazon’ or ‘Merchant’ and the item does not show in the list)
