I store inventory in UK and have UK VAT number. I sell on Amazon DE, FR, ES, IT and all the products are shipped from UK warehouse. do is till need to PAY VAT on the sale generated from EU Marketplace other than the UK.
Yes. Whom you pay it to, depends on whether you have gone over the long distance thresholds for each country.
The distance selling thresholds are quite high. You don’t need to register for VAT unless you exceed them.
Germany - € 100,000
France - € 35,000
Italy - € 35,000
Spain - € 35,000
Yes, but the OP will have to pay VAT on those EU sales to the UK Gov. When they go over the thresholds in each EU country, it then goes to that Gov.
OP said he was paying it in the UK.
Maybe I misunderstand the question? I read it, as they want to know whether they should pay VAT on the EU sales. They already pay it on the UK sales.
Yes it is a little ambiguous. He should of course be paying VAT on EU sales to HMRC.
My monthly EU sales is hardly 500 euros. So do I really have to pay VAT to UK govt as I an not even close to the EU trashhold.
Yes you do. You have to combine it with your UK sales.
