Read onlyHi
I offer standard first class post for free and expedited next day delivery which the customer pays for.
I am concerned about Amazon replacing the expedited option with the premium shipping option. I have read many stories on the forum regarding customers not being home to sign for the order and this impacting negatively on the sellers account.
Am I correct in thinking there will be no middle ground between first class and premium shipping. As during the spring and summer months I have a lot of expedited orders and i am worried about the impact offering premium shipping may have on my account. However i do not want to be left with standard first class as the only option.
Any advice appreciated.
The difference between Premium and Expedited Delivery is that you will need to meet the Valid Tracking Rate requirements, Handling Times will no longer apply, the EDD ranges will be much shorter, you will be required to ship on the same day (if the order is received before the cut-off time) and Saturday will be counted as a working day.
If you use buy shipping, Amazon accept 1st Class as premium shipping. Bonkers but true.
We removed expedited and switched to ONE-DAY because of this new policy. We’ve been using TR24 because we have it linked but you can use 1st class post recorded via buy shipping.
Hi,
We are going to be going on to Premium once expedited stops.
Quick question: What do you do regarding Highlands & Islands, etc? If the order can go RM then there isn’t a problem for us however if it is too large / heavy for RM then you cannot get it there next day.
TIA
