FBA packaging question

Is it ok to shrink wrap an item rather than placing in polybag?

My item is a blanket and holds a lot of air and I want to minimise package dimensions

I will make sure barcode still visible. Is it ok to have barcode on outside of shrink wrap?

Also if I get an FBA return for change of mind. Will amazon automatically try and repack?

No, if the shrink wrap is removed, you will want it back to check + repackaged.
