How do you get an IOSS number and non-EU based business?

We are a non-EU-based business previously (and currently) VAT registered throughout the EU.

How can we register for IOSS - I have been on every government website and can’t find a single registration link? Do I need to know a secret handshake?

Has anyone else done this?

Is this for sales on your own website? I believe you have to pick a ‘home’ EU country to register out of and pay to.

You need an intermediary otherwise it’s very difficult to register

If you only want one to fulfil orders placed through Amazon or another marketplace website, then you don’t get one for that. The marketplace has one as they’re the organisation that deducted and remitted the VAT.

If you mean for your own website sales, you get it from the One Stop Shop.
