How to generate a prepaid return label please

Is there a simple way to generate a pre paid Royal Mail returns label on Amazon. No answers in the forums. It just seems really over complicated. TIA.

Amazon should be providing your customer with a prepaid hermes return label but are not currently offering royal mail

If it has to be RM, you’d need to send the customer a prepaid one that you generate yourself

The only options I have are these:

I would like Amazon to provide an un-paid mailing label. or
I will provide a pre-paid postage label.

If I tick that I will provide a pre-paid label it then gets over complicated. I have to select the carrier then provide a tracking number (how do I do that?) and then upload the label.

I am completely out of my depth here. I thought I would just click on a button and Amazon would let the customer receive a prepaid label that I would be billed for.

So does anybody know where I find a tracking ID if I select Royal Mail from the dropdown menu for a prepaid label please? I can’t generate one without it.

What is the item they want to return, how much is the order value, who is at fault for that return?

You could get Amazon to provide them with the unpaid label, let the buyer pay postage and then refund them for it when you get the parcel back.

My returns were set for Auto Returns where Amazon provided the prepaid returns label and this was working well.

But yesterday i had to create my own and used Parcel2go and uploaded the label and also provide an address to where the customer could drop off etc.

Not sure why this has now changed??

The customer agreed to an unpaid label so I clicked that. It sent the customer an unpaid Hermes label. They took it to be returned and were told that the label won’t scan. They have now messaged me asking me if I have ever come across this before. I haven’t but has anybody else? This is getting ridiculous now.

How can you have an unpaid hermes label when hermes drop off points don’t take money? That doesn’t make sense

Actually, it occurs to me that you could go to Parcel2go, buy the shipping label on behalf of the customer, and email it to them as an attachment.
