So am I being stupid and reading it wrong or are they saying that labelling fba small and light items (uk) is free (for the foreseeable) ?!

It takes an age to get SnL items on sale already, how much will this increase when they do labelling as well. We lost a lot of sales before Christmas with Amazon taking over 4 weeks to receive and list SnL deliveries (and we barcode every item!).

If that is case and they may start charging for it I might start getting my cards printed with the FNSKU on instead of the EAN.

Does anyone know if it is okay to have just the barcode or do they need the text also?

So the top line of Amazon’s spreadsheet is not aligned correctly.
This explains a lot! They can’t even get a simple spreadsheet right!

I am getting this correct?

So from tomorrow they launch a label service for SNL for a service which is already being done to our UK SNL stock when we send it to the FC because when stock is returned to us it’s been labelled. This is free of charge in UK.

From 1st June, in UK it is a requirement for all stock to be labelled, which they are already doing. This is a free service in UK for now.

We don’t label our SNL stock, we did it for a few shipments to see if it made the receiving quicker but made no difference. I am thinking that we carry on as before until they start charging for labelling and then we do it ourselves. Anyone else doing this?

Does anyone have an email for the Small and Light team, please?

I have had a reply from S&L and, indeed, if printing onto your packaging then the description and the word ‘New’ DOES need to go on, not just the barcode. Here it is:

Thank you for your email and great to hear you are wanting to start labelling your items with the FNSKU barcode to get ahead of the game

The FNSKU barcode you will need will be the below (example from your inventory).:

This is created automatically when you print the labels off via seller central, so to answer your question they would need whatever description it automates to be included on the barcode.

I hope this makes sense. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
