Myhermes "out of tariff" charge
Hello.
Has anyone else experienced this with Myhermes? We send out hundred of parcels a year with this company and now they have sent us an invoice for a parcel on their “EC approved fit for trade scales” weighs 2.7kg. I have weighed an example of the parcel sent and it was 240g including postage.
Utter ridiculous and will be fighting this, even though they have invoiced me for £3.10 plus admin fee of £3.00. why should I pay for their mistake?
I personally think the decimal point may have been put in the wrong place or they need to buy some new scales…

Hemres customer support here on the Amazon sellers forum… As they say, if you pay peanuts you get monkeys unfortunately.

I have come across this situation with myhermes couple of times and when contested, they canceled the extra charge.
There could be multiple reasons that could lead them to measure it incorrectly or it could be a human error too so personally I usually give them benefit of the doubt.

Not with Hermes, but we used to experience this many moons ago when we were with Business post.
As parcels are put through the conveyer belt each parcel was weight, now and again if the parcel in front or behind would encroach onto the scales and increase the weight.
