Open Box listings for used books
All of a sudden all my listings of used books are now described as “open box” which implies (wrongly) that they are customer returns, that will not help sales. I have had correspondence with Amazon on this but needless to say the reply was rubbish and as usual the agent had not read my email. They really are hard work.

Hi All,
The above snip was taken by me earlier today, from the UK site - it’s the ‘sidebar’ listing for paperbacks…

- ISBN-13 : 978-0583123396
I access using Mozilla Firefox - and everything I now see in books is Open Box (and my orders have virtually disappeared since this started - although they weren’t great before!)

Originally it said used, earlier in the month it changed to “pre-owned”, now this week we have open box. I wondered if this had filtered over from the US site but that is still used-good, used-very good etc so its tinkering on the UK site that we are seeing.
