Poorly packaged orders fulfilled by Amazon
Has anyone else experienced poorly packaged orders fulfilled by Amazon. I am receiving customer complaints to say that amazon are putting postage labels directly on the gift boxes and not placing items in a brown box. This is awful for customers to receive and I’m suffering the cost of the returns and negative feedback.

Seen reports of this before. As normal its because Amazon could’t give a sh*t about you, your business or your customers.

I ordered an air dehumidifier and it was just a label on the box, no outer packaging. And never a packing slip, the one they say that we should print and put in the parcel.
If I did the same and a customer complained to Amazon, guess who they would favour …

Jeez, that’s well out of order.
Does your FBA shipping routine allow for putting the boxes inside a cheap mailing bag to keep them away from the box itself?

On the product detail page it should say “Item arrives in packaging that reveals what’s inside. To hide it, choose Ship in Amazon packaging at checkout.”
It’s the customer’s responsibility to ask Amazon to put such items in additional packaging.

I had somebody leave me a 4, saying the item was in great condition, but it fell out of the package. Nothing damaged, and she said it’s Amazon’s fault. I left the comment on my wall but wrote a reply…raised a case with amazon saying it’s not about my feedback level. I said they should apologise to the customer in my behalf. (Then deleted the comment). They just replied saying that the customer violated terms, the feedback’s removed, etc.
That is disgusting.

I finally understand what went on. They marked my item as ‘doesn’t need an outer box’ probably a cost cutting exercise, but I think it is now on their system as requires a shipping box (following a number of customer complaints no doubt).
