Removal order contains an error. Please try again. The field Address has an invalid value

I am trying to create a removal order for unfulfillable stock. I get an error which says “Removal order contains an error. Please try again.
The field Address has an invalid value”.
The address I am using is my home address and is the same as last time. I am in Northern Ireland, is this suddenly the problem as it has worked fine for the last couple of years using the same address as my previous removal orders.

No, nothing yet. I have set mine to auto, as they had been manual before, but I don’t think that will help.
So yours HAD been working previously and all of a sudden not?

I’ve never used automated removals. So I can’t speak to that.

I did a manual removal 2 weeks ago, and it worked fine. I’ve never seen this issue before, and I can’t find reference to it anywhere.

I would imagine the removals are manic at the minute with the restock limit issue, and free removals ending tomorrow… Hopefully, it’s a temporary block.

Yes last one I did was May 11th and it was fine. Hopefully sorts itself out and if it was anyone but Amazon my hope would be greater!

Please note that removal orders are normally processed in 14 working days. However, during the holidays, removals peak period and the current pandemic, processing may take 30 working days or longer.

D) Cancelling a Removal Order

Most of these not relevant but I did try creating a removal, getting the error message box, but then using the automatically created Removal Order ID and putting it here:

…but that didn’t work.
It says “We didn’t find any inventory for the FNSKU item_id in your FBA inventory.” This is not the case as I have 3 units sitting there. I’m going to go back to them again.

Same problem here, trying to get a large amount of stock back but not letting me either due to my address… Always something with amazon :man_facepalming:

Have you had any updates since?

I have just opened a case using the same method. I sent a screenshot of the error message. Still waiting for a response.

We were unable to find any issues creating the removal order for the FNSKU bla bla bla. You should be able to create a removal order. Please try to remove your inventory again.

I am in NI and getting the same error message when trying to remove inventory and before it was never an issue. Have you have any luck getting any proper information on this?

Still no luck. I went back to them with a screen shot of the issue yesterday afternoon again. They had been replying within an hour each time, but haven’t heard from them since so maybe they are finally realising there actually is an issue.

You would think customer services for Amazon.co.uk would know this. Until some realises their is an issue you will just go around in circles.

Latest is that they wanted me to delete my cookies and try another viewer. Dutifully obliged to no avail. They then asked for ship to address which I have done. I also mentioned there seem to be a number of us having the same issue. This is the response

I got this response, but I haven’t had an opportunity to try it yet.

We see that you are getting error while creating the removal order, so we suggest you to create the removal order using the removal order file.

  1. Under Prepare your removal order file, click Download template. Follow the instructions in the workbook to complete your removal request list. Make sure that you review the Instructions, Removal data definitions, and Examples tabs in the workbook before completing the list on the Removal request tab.
  2. When you have completed the list on the Removal request tab, click File, then click Save as. Browse to the location where you want to save the file. In the Save as type drop-down list, select Text.
  3. To submit your removal order, under Upload your removal order file, click Browse. Browse to the location where you saved your tab-delimited removal request and click Open. Under Upload your removal order file, click Upload now.
  4. Under Review file status and history, you can review the results of your last ten removal request uploads, including the date, time, batch ID, and status. Click Refresh to see the most recent results. If there is any error, click View processing report and view the details. This report will help you to resolve any error. After the errors are resolved, go to step 2 and reupload the file.
