Royal Mail Tracking numbers don't match what Amazon expect

I am new to this and have been using Royal Mail Small parcel to ship. I have just received a VTR notice saying I am not fulfilling their requirements even though I enter the number RM give me. This is an 11 digit number which is fine on the RM website but Amazon say it has to be an 13 digit number ending GB. If you buy shipping on Amazon through RM they only produce an 11 digit number themselves! I prefer to buy with RM online direct as you get the option for them to print the label and collect, which doesn’t happen on Amazon but is more convenient to me. Has anyone found a solution to this as I have spent hours trying to discuss this with Amazon and nobody has an answer. Thanks.

Can you screenshot a copy of your VTR report.

It is possible that the 11 Digit Delivery Confirmation number is valid but as there has been no delivery scan by Royal Mail it is causing your percentage to decrease. If this is the case you don’t get suspended from the category as Amazon validates the number is valid it just doesn’t reflect in your percentage.

Looking at your VTR report should help sellers work out if this is the case or another problem has occurred.

If you have been talking to Seller Support about it they may well be giving you the wrong answers they don’t always give out the correct advice.

Thanks Richard, you seem to be correct, as not all of my orders are included on the report and seller support had no insight in to that, they just kept repeating the generic answer about 13 digit numbers. I guess I should carry on regardless and hope I don’t get suspended. I know my tracking numbers are correct as I have checked them on Royal Mail tracking. Thank.
