Taking Click & Drop to the Post Office

Hello, Could anyone advise me on the correct way to present Royal Mail Click & Drop (OBA Version) items at a Post Office please, i’m just talking about 1st Class, 2nd Class and International Standard parcels.

So from what I can make out from the online tutorials is that you have a separate Royal Mail sack for each class and take the manifest and hand it over to the post master.

  1. Do I cable tie the sack closed?… if so what happens with the manifest
  2. Do I attached a PPI bag label to the neck with the cable tie even though this is Click & Drop
  3. Do I need to write anything on the PPI label

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks.

As long as you label them correctly with correct dockets that should be fine. If you don’t label them correct they end up in the wrong picking location and that would delay your items as they won’t prioritise them. You will also need to to print the manifest and hand it to the postmasters. If you have a collection hand it to the driver. I had so many complaint from the post office as they have advised me that they do not get anything out of me dropping my mail to their shop. Also I can never fathom which dockets do you use for Special Deliveries. This is not available from Royalmail stationery order service any ideas?

Print 2 manifests if you are dropping them off. One goes inside and one you hand to the person behind the counter. Cable tie them with the tag attached. Job done.

All we do is label each bag 1st, 2nd and International etc… update the info label with relevant info take it to PO they scan the manifest then I re-attach it to one of the bags we have never had any issues.
