Two year old item defective message


Sorry to ask but not sure what my options are…
Just had an email " Amazon customer enquiry
Item defective…"
Message just says
It’s out of sync on the download…( It’s a dvd)

Checked the order and it’s from Apr 2020…

Can they still open A-Z or leave feedback etc if I ignore or is there something else I should do…

Under Amazon terms, no they cannot open an A-Z, but would not be surprised if they do, have seen it before - cant be done by customer, but if they go to Amazon CS who knows what will happen, although you would be very unlucky.

We do get messages this old from time to time and just politely go back to the customer and advise that as the order is so old, the return period, and warranty has now expired.
