Unable to list on amazon with my own GS1 codes

Hi,

Hoping someone on here can help me more than the amazon help can!

I have products i need to list on amazon, i have a GS1 account and have set up 30 codes for my different product variations.

My brand name is not currently registered so i am listing as ‘generic’, however, when i add my variations in and enter my separate EANs, i get an error message as below:

Amazon%20Error%20Message

I contacted amazon to help and they keep saying that my brand name doesn’t match and i do not have a valid GS1 account.
I can’t enter a brand name and my GS1 account is live and valid and i sent them my GS1 certificate.

I also waited to ensure that the GS1 upload into Amazon had time to do what it needed to do but still no luck.

Any help appreciated, i just need to list my items!

Thanks in advance

I haven’t registered a GS1 one for any of my products yet but I have read on these forums that they can take up to 72 hours to actually register, You may need to leave it a day or 2 and try again.

Did you register them as generic on gs1?

mate I had this problem the other day - I know how you can fix it but it might take a few days for them to get back to you. you need to contact seller support and tell them, then they will ask you for these things. This will 100% fix this issue. They’re going round all listings suddenly and checking if they’re GS1 or not. it’s a load of BS tbh, but anyway. This will sort it out, but when they got back to me, they were saying I had “unknown” for my brand names. I didn’t. I don’t know what the F they were talking about, but once they’d seen my GS1 certificates etc., they unblocked it and this error stopped and I was able to list again. I can’t promise it will work for you I guess, but it 100% worked for me lol. It was a nightmare, but they did sort it out eventually.

" We understand that you are having GTIN/ISBN related error while adding a product. In order to further investigate, we need you to provide us the following:

  • Error Screenshot

  • Brand Name

  • Manufacturer Name

  • Complete Title

  • UPC/EANs

  • GS1 certificate (or) screenshot from GS1 database showing the UPC/EAN and its owner

  • Proof of relation between the brand and UPC/EAN owner"
