User permissions now requires verification
We’ve been selling on Amazon for 11 odd years, we have one superuser (me) and 4 or so restricted users for different depts who access inventory / orders etc.
I’ve just gone in to edit one user’s permissions and it’s asked me to complete a full name and address profile for them, including passport number / driving licence number etc. Upon completion it now says ‘thanks, waiting for verification’.
Did I miss something recently, or has this been there for a while? I’m just praying that the verification process for one tiny dept who deal with a tiny percentage of our orders doesn’t screw anything up!

It’s not that new and has caught a few people off guard.
Any new user or existing user that is amended in some way needs to go through verification. If you’d rather not, you need to take them off your user list.
Be prepared for requests such as passports etc which you may feel is far too personal to give away.
