Variations

I’m in the process of trying to merge multiple listings into a single listing with variations.
However, on the instructions it’s basically saying that the parent is not offered for sale.
So if I use an existing listing as the parent, what will actually happen to it?

You need to create a brand new parent with variations then attach the other listings to it.
