Important: We want to inform you that our partner carrier, UPS Freight, is currently experiencing operational challenges. This might cause a delay to pallet shipments created through the Partnered Carrier Programme (PCP) workflow. Our current estimation is that pick-ups will be delayed by up to two days (for example, if the estimated pick-up date was initially set on 3 October, it will now be 5 October). However, this remains subject to change based on further developments.
Amazon Partnered Carrier options
This page provides information about the Amazon partnered carrier options that are available to FBA sellers for both small parcel deliveries (SPD) and less than truckload/full truckload (LTL/FTL) shipments (also called pallet shipments) within the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy.
-
SPDs consist of units packed in boxes, and each box is individually labelled for delivery. These are typically smaller shipments that are sent via UPS or Amazon (DHL managed) in Germany.
-
Pallet shipment combines individual boxes on pallets for delivery. These are typically shipped via UPS Freight or Kuehne+Nagel.
Amazon partnered SPD carrier
As of July X, 2021, the Amazon Partnered Carrier programme for Small Parcel Deliveries (SPD) is available for Selling Partner shipping from a Netherlands address to an Amazon fulfilment centre in France, Germany, Spain, and Italy.
When preparing your shipment to a fulfilment centre via the shipment creation workflow, you will see an option to use Amazon or an Amazon partnered carrier in the Delivery servicessection.
Note: For cross-border shipments, this option will only be enabled for eligible shipments. Only small parcel deliveries that originate from France, Spain, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands, and are delivered to any of our European fulfilment centres (excluding the UK) are permitted. Shipments originating from or to the UK may be temporarily ineligible for our Partnered carrier service. Please note that partnered carrier shipments originating from the Netherlands are only eligible to be sent to EU4 (France, Italy, Germany, and Spain) fulfilment centres.
To participate in this service, use the following steps:
-
Select Amazon or partnered carrier in the shipment creation workflow.
-
Once you enter the details of your delivery, you will receive an estimate of the delivery charges.
-
Before accepting the delivery charges, carefully review either the Amazon Inbound Transportation Services terms and conditions (if using Amazon DHL-managed service), or the Amazon Partnered Carrier terms and conditions, and the carrier terms and conditions (if using UPS), as applicable.
-
Click on Accept charges.
-
After you have completed your delivery, contact your carrier to schedule the pick-up. Alternatively, you can take the package to a local carrier’s pickup centre.
Shipping charges are based on the dimensions and weight of the parcels or pallets, the address where the shipment originated and the destination fulfilment centre. The estimated cost of these charges will be subject to adjustment if Amazon or the carrier determines that the actual weight or dimensions of the package are different from the weight or dimensions provided by you. Learn more about providing box details.
Note: FBA units must be packaged according to requirements from Amazon and your carrier. For more information, see
Packaging requirements.
Amazon partnered pallet carrier
To participate in partnered carrier pallet shipments, take the following steps:
-
Select Amazon Partnered Carrier in the Delivery service section of the shipment creation workflow.
Note: This option will only be enabled for eligible marketplaces and postcodes.
-
Once you have entered the details of your delivery, you will receive an estimate for the delivery charges. You will also receive an estimated pick-up date. Your pick-up date will be either on the freight-ready date or two days from when the estimate has been accepted, whichever is later.
-
Before accepting the delivery charges, carefully review the Amazon Partnered Carrier terms and conditions for participation in the programme, as well as the carrier terms and conditions.
-
Click on Accept charges.
-
After you have completed your shipment, the carrier will email the point of contact for your business, which is provided during the shipment booking, on the day before the shipment is due to be picked up.
Delivery charges are based on the quantity, dimensions and weight of pallet or pallets, the address from which the delivery originated and the destination fulfilment centre. The estimated cost of these charges will be subject to adjustment if Amazon or the carrier determines that the actual weight or dimensions of the package are different from the weight or dimensions provided by you, if the products on the pallets need to be re-stacked or if the pallets have been damaged.
Note: FBA units must be packaged according to requirements from Amazon and your carrier. For more information, see
packaging requirements.
Important: The Amazon Partnered Carrier programme prohibits transporting dangerous goods or hazardous material (hazmat). Learn more about the
shipping and routing requirements.
Cancelling an Amazon partnered carrier shipment
You can cancel Amazon or Amazon partnered SPD shipments up to 24 hours after approving the estimated shipping charges. For Amazon partnered pallet shipments, you can cancel up to one hour after approving the estimated shipping charges.
Go to your shipping queue and follow these steps:
-
Locate the shipment and click Work on shipment.
-
Click on the Provide details tab.
-
Click on Void charges.
Important: Cancelling the delivery does not cancel the charges. You must follow the instructions above to ensure a pickup is not made and charges will not apply. If 24 hours have passed since you approved the charges, you will not be able to cancel the charges or receive a refund for small parcel shipments. You can cancel the charges for Amazon partnered pallet shipments up to one hour after you have approved the charges. Contact Selling Partner Support to process a refund. See
