Listing Restrictions in the Software Category

To ensure that customers are able to buy with confidence from all sellers on, we have implemented restrictions on certain products that offered for sale in the Software store. With effect from 3rd October 2011, only those sellers who meet the following performance criteria will be eligible to list certain software ASINs from Microsoft, Adobe and Symantec (Norton) on the site:

  • Seller must have processed and dispatched at least 50 orders on Marketplace (sale does not have to be in the Software category), including at least 15 in each of the past three months;
  • Seller must have registered their Selling on Amazon account at least 90 days ago; and
  • Seller must have an Order Defect Rate (ODR) of 0.75% or less.

You can view your Customer Metrics in your seller account. If your performance does not meet the above criteria, we encourage you to take appropriate corrective action.

Here are some steps you can take to improve your selling performance on

  • Check your orders frequently in the Manage Orders section of your seller account.
  • Minimise order cancellations; don't show more stock for sale than you actually have available.
  • Dispatch orders and confirm dispatch in a timely manner.
  • Make sure your seller policies are up-to-date.
