Customise Amazon Selling Coach

Amazon Selling Coach collects personalised opportunities for you to help increase your sales, and presents you with several different ways to interact with your customised business recommendations.

With Amazon Selling Coach you can define your recommendation preferences, view all email communications in one place, search for specific recommendations, and update your email settings.

You can access Amazon Selling Coach by going to the Reports drop-down menu in Seller Central and selecting Amazon Selling Coach.

Selling Coach Reports

The Selling Coach Reports page allows you to browse for identified opportunities in Amazon Selling Coach. You can explore our pre-populated reports curated for you, or generate your own reports based on your criteria.

Search opportunities and create your own report

You can create your own report by searching for product opportunities by product name, brand or category. Depending on the filters you decide to use, you can search for products with opportunities specific to you, or for anyone selling on Amazon. You can set which columns you would like displayed for each of your reports by going to the Preferences tab and changing your settings.

To search for products or create a report with opportunities specific to you, follow these steps on the Amazon Selling Coach page:


  1. Select the Search Recommendations tab.
  2. Enter a product title, brand, category, or ASIN into the search bar and click on Search.
    Note: Searches are case-sensitive.

    The default filter setting automatically filters for products with opportunities specific to you. If the product you searched for does not have an opportunity generated for you, it will not appear in the results.

    Note: To modify the opportunities generated for you, select the Preferences tab. In the Product Opportunity Settings section, enter a specific brand or category in the corresponding box, then click on Include Brand or Exclude Brand.

To change filters or search for products with opportunities for anyone on Amazon, follow these steps on the Amazon Selling Coach:


  1. Select the Search Recommendations tab.
  2. Click Filters (next to Search).
  3. In the Filters row, click on one or more of the following:
    • Search Preference to define your keyword search by Brands or Categories.
    • Search Scope to see All Product Recommendations or Only My Recommendations.
  4. Type a product title, brand, category, or ASIN in the search field and click Search.

Once you have created a report to meet your needs, you can click on Download to export the current results or Subscribe to save the filters. You can also set a schedule for receiving emails with the recommendations meeting this criteria. When you click Subscribe, you will be able to name your report, designate an email address and set your frequency (daily, weekly or monthly). You can edit your subscriptions at any time in Email Settings.

Browse Selling Coach Reports

Amazon Selling Coach opportunities are grouped by Product Opportunities, Inventory Opportunities, Fulfilment Opportunities, Low Price Opportunities, Fee Promotions, Advertising Opportunities, Operational Reports, and Featured Opportunities on the left panel. Each opportunity option will expand and display several business opportunity reports when clicked, with recommendations created specifically for you. From each report, you can vote on the product and opportunity recommendations that are relevant to you to improve future recommendations. Amazon Selling Coach opportunities are generated daily.

If you vote Yes on any opportunity recommendations, your interest in the product is recorded to better refine your future personalized recommendations.

If you vote No on any opportunities, you will no longer see the product in any report related to the opportunity you voted no on. You may still receive personalised recommendations for the product under other opportunities.

You can set up a schedule for receiving email notifications for any opportunity by clicking on Subscribe. When you click onSubscribe, you will be able to name your report, designate an email address and set your frequency (daily, weekly or monthly). You can edit your subscriptions at any time in email settings

Preferences

In Amazon Selling Coach's Preferences, you can select specific brands or categories to include or exclude from your Product Opportunities and Fulfilment Opportunities recommendations.

To modify your preferences for Product Opportunities, follow these steps on the Amazon Selling Coach page:


  1. Click the Preferences tab.
  2. In the Product Opportunity Settings section, enter a specific brand or category in the corresponding box, then click Include Brand or Exclude Brand. Changes appear on the right.

You can change your Product Opportunities preferences at any time.

To modify your preferences for Fulfilment Opportunities, follow these steps on the Amazon Selling Coach page:


  1. Click the Preferences tab.
  2. In the Fulfillment Opportunity Settings section, enter a specific brand or category in the corresponding box, then click Include Brand or Exclude Brand. Changes appear on the right.

You can change your Fulfilment Opportunities preferences at any time.

Communication

The Communication tab displays all of your emails from Amazon Selling Coach. From this tab, you can browse through all of your recent email recommendations or search by date and recommendation type.

To search email recommendations, follow these steps on the Amazon Selling Coach page:


  1. Click the Communication tab.
  2. In the Show field, select the type of communication you would like to find from the drop-down menu:
  3. In the From and To fields, select the desired time frame using the drop-down menus, then click onApply.

Refined Opportunities

If you have voted Yes or No in the Is This Relevant? column for any ASIN on the Business Reports page, your feedback is noted under the Refined Opportunities tab. This information will be used in the future to refine your recommendations from Amazon Selling Coach. You can change your vote at any time from the Refined Opportunities tab or from the Business Reports page.

  • You can vote on individual Business Report pages to indicate which of our product and opportunity recommendations are relevant to you to improve future recommendations.
  • If you vote Yes on any opportunities, your interest in the product is recorded to better refine your future personalised recommendations.
  • If you vote No on any opportunities, you will no longer see the product in any report related to the opportunity you voted no on. You may still receive personalised recommendations for the product under other opportunities. For example, if you voted No on a particular ASIN under Product Opportunities and Yes for that same ASIN under Inventory Opportunities, you will not receive any recommendations to create offers for that product, but you may still receive recommendations for other actions related to that product, such as restocking low inventory.
