Small and Light prep and packaging guide

Packaging checklist

  • All ASINs meet programme eligibility requirements and have been successfully added (See FBA Small & Light Inventory report).
  • Same-ASIN units are bundled together in clear plastic bags, manufacturer, or seller case packs.
  • Each bag, outer case, or shrink-wrapped bundle has a label with the total quantity of sellable units.
  • You do not need to label individual units with FBA labels;
  • Glass and sharp objects are safely packaged to prevent breakage or injury. For more information, see Packaging glass ceramic breakable and fragile units and Packaging sharp units.
  • Small and Light only uses poly bags and Jiffy bags. Crushable items such as potato chips and glass should be properly prepped and packaged so they do not crush or break when shipped. Broken or crushed items will not be received at the fulfilment centre. They will be removed or disposed of at your expense.

Shipment checklist

  • A minimum of 24 units per SKU must be sent in each shipment.
  • Shipment contents match the shipping plan.
  • Shipment does not contain dangerous goods (hazmat) or items that are temperature-sensitive, meltable, or crushable.
  • The shipping box does not exceed 2.4 x 22 x 30 cm on any side, and does not weigh more than 225 g.

Tips for success

  • Do not send shipments with excess inventory. For more information, see Manage Excess Inventory.

  • On the outside of each same-ASIN bag or pack, the total quantity of sellable units must be clearly labelled.
  • You do not need to label individual units with FBA labels;
  • FBA Small and Light does not provide prep or labelling services. Items not properly prepped will need to be removed or disposed of at your expense. For more information, see Remove inventory (overview).
