From April 1, 2021, you will be able to use FBA to fulfil domestic orders for your heavy and bulky selection. In addition to other FBA benefits, heavy and bulky FBA products will benefit from Scheduled delivery and Room of Choice delivery services where available.
Some FBA services (such as Pan-European FBA and the European Fulfilment Network) are not currently available for heavy and bulky FBA items. You will also need to ensure your items are correctly prepared and labelled for heavy and bulky FBA. To ensure you adhere to this programme’s requirements, please read the shipping heavy and bulky inventory to Amazon section of this Help page carefully before enrolling your products.
Both Prime and non-Prime customers can benefit from Scheduled delivery and Room Of Choice delivery options on heavy and bulky FBA products, dependent on their availability in each store (please refer to FAQ to learn more about the delivery of heavy and bulky items). Customers selecting Scheduled delivery can benefit from delivery slots as short as four hours when this service is available. We inform customers when these services are available through Product detail page messages.
For an item to be considered heavy and bulky, it must meet at least one of the following dimensions and weight criteria. Any inventory not meeting this criteria should be considered for Standard FBA:
Heavy and bulky FBA also has maximum dimensions and weight limitations, which vary by store. You will not be able to create FBA shipments for products exceeding the maximum criteria, and any attempt to deliver such items will result in inventory being refused at the fulfilment centre. Please refer to the following table for the maximum dimensions and weight criteria in your store.

Before listing products for fulfilment by Amazon, it is important to know what is suitable for our fulfilment process and what is unsuitable. Be sure to review all sections of our FBA product restrictions page for all product requirements and restrictions.
To enrol products in heavy and bulky FBA, you follow the same process as standard FBA. To ensure heavy and bulky FBA items are routed to the correct fulfilment centres, please submit accurate dimensions and weight information in Seller Central for all products before enrolment.
Heavy and bulky FBA fees follow the same pay-per-use structure as standard FBA.
The fulfilment fees for this programme are as follows:
Item Weight | UK | DE | FR | IT | ES |
0-20kg | £11.58 | € 14.49 | € 16.37 | € 12.61 | € 15.38 |
20-40kg | £15.23 | € 21.07 | € 23.23 | € 16.22 | € 21.57 |
40-60kg | £40.40 | € 50.96 | € 39.28 | € 18.64 | € 29.99 |
Per additional kg >60kg | £0.24 | € 0.25 | € 0.32 | € 0.43 | € 0.43 |
Sellers will pay a minimum referral fee of £15/€15 for each item sold via Heavy and bulky FBA, in addition to FBA fees. Refer to the Selling on Amazon fee schedule to view typical referral fees for all stores and product categories, which are calculated as a percentage of the total sales price.
For example: An item from the large appliances category sold by a seller in the UK is typically subject to a referral fee of 7.14%. If the total sales price is £100, the referral fee would typically total £7.14. However, a seller fulfilling this item via heavy and bulky FBA would be charged a £15 referral fee for this item.
For all other fee types (e.g. storage, removal and disposal), heavy and bulky FBA items are treated in the same way as oversize items. Refer to the FBA pricing page to view the full list of fees for oversize items in FBA.
All fees are exclusive of VAT and other taxes that are payable by the seller.

Shipping weight equals your unit’s weight plus our packaging weight. The shipping weight total is rounded up to the nearest 1 g. The examples above are only a guide in evaluating FBA.
Heavy and bulky FBA has some different preparation requirements to standard FBA. Failure to comply with heavy and bulky FBA requirements may result in the refusal of inventory at the Amazon fulfilment centre, disposal or return of inventory, blocking of future deliveries to the fulfilment centre or charges for non-compliance. Please share these requirements with your carrier or supplier to ensure that they are fully understood and adhered to.
Heavy and bulky FBA items are not eligible for the FBA preparation service or the FBA label service, so you must ensure all items meet the FBA packaging requirements and preparation guidelines before they arrive at a fulfilment centre.
• All individual SKU items must be contained within a single package. Amazon does not accept products requiring assembly of multiple separate pieces at our dock.
• Heavy and bulky FBA items must use an Amazon barcode to track inventory and are not eligible for commingled inventory with the manufacturer barcode. If you already have FBA offers created with manufacturer barcode settings, you can change to Amazon barcode by creating a new FBA offer. Amazon barcoded offers generate an FNSKU code that starts with ‘X’.
• To avoid rejected deliveries, please ensure that your carrier is aware of the Pallet, Bill of Lading and Vehicle requirements for arranging for an LTL or Truck Load Delivery to Amazon. Please see EU FC addresses and delivery specifications to check specific vehicle restrictions for each fulfilment centre.
• Heavy and bulky FBA items do not require palletisation if they are below a certain weight threshold (varies per country, please refer to table below). Items above this threshold can only be delivered unpalletised if the items are clampable, and clearly marked as clampable using a logo on the carton (see picture below).
• When inbounding loose-loaded goods, please ask your carrier to inform us in advance by leaving a comment in the Carrier Central appointment booking. If the items are clampable, please leave a comment saying ‘clampable loose loaded’. If items are not clampable, please leave a comment saying ‘non-clampable loose loaded’.

1. Bind two standard pallets together, ensuring they are attached securely on the shortest side (which should face the rear end of the vehicle). The longest side of the item should be placed horizontally on the pallets. |
>240cm Length (Longest Side) |
1. If one sellable unit cannot fit on a binded pallet, please do not palletise the item. The item must be clampable and clearly marked with a clampable logo on the carton. Items of this length that are not clampable will be subject to rejection. |
