Stranded inventory required removals

The Amazon Services Europe Business Solutions Agreement requires the removal of ‘unsuitable units’ from Amazon fulfilment centres. If your inventory remains stranded, you will receive an email notification from Amazon.

Important: Inventory that remains stranded will be returned or disposed of 45 days after this email notification at your cost. If you have designated Amazon to accelerate automatic removal of stranded units, they may be removed more quickly. To customise your automatic removal settings go to Fix stranded inventory and click on Edit automatic-action settings.

Stranded inventory units with active offers will not be automatically removed. For guidance on fixing stranded inventory, refer to Resolve stranded inventory issues.

The following stranded reasons are not subject to required removals at this time:

  • Future listing sell date
  • Under hazmat review
Note: On Fix stranded inventory, the Date of stranded event column tells you when the inventory was stranded. The Automatic removal date column states when listings are scheduled for removal.

Delaying automatic removal

If you require more time to fix stranded inventory for select listings, you may select Delay auto removal for 30 days on Fix stranded inventory for each listing to provide an additional 30 days before automatic removal. This option is limited to one time per listing.

Note: You can delay removal only once per stranded event.
