Amazon has implemented new data requirements that you should follow regarding Price Per Unit (PPU) information to deliver an accurate and consistent experience. PPU information is required by law and used by customers to compare and evaluate products during their shopping experience.
Since July 23, 2020, products sold within the consumables product types listed below require your new listings to include the unit count and unit_count_type attributes, which were previously optional. Product updates will show errors for ASINs that do not follow the new PPU requirements.
Unit count includes a value (unit_count, for example, 5) and a unit type (unit_count_type, for example, ounce, count, and gram).
The unit count type will be restricted to the following units:
|square meter||quadratmeter||mètre carré||metro quadrato||metro cuadrado||metr kwadratowy||metrekare||vierkante meter|
The scope of this change includes any product-level data submissions, whether through Excel templates, Seller Central, or XSD feeds. Existing ASINs without unit_count information or with incorrect values in the unit_count_type attribute require this information when listings are updated. You must provide this information for your data submissions to be accepted.
The change applies to all product types within the following larger consumables product types:
