French fulfilment centres FAQ

We are working towards a gradual re-opening of our French fulfilment centres starting 19 May 2020. Over the following weeks, we will be gradually ramping up our activities to ensure that we resume our FBA services progressively.

I have not taken any action on my FBA offers since 16 April. Do I need to do anything?

You are not required to take any action. Your FBA offers will be automatically available on Amazon.fr.

I converted my FBA offers to MFN, what should I do now?

We recommend that you convert your MFN offers to FBA as early as Tuesday, 19 May.

I currently have an FBA shipment in transit to a fulfilment centre outside of France. What should I do?

You are not required to take any action. If you use the Pan-European FBA programme, we will distribute your inventory across our European fulfilment centres, including France. If you do not use the Pan-European FBA programme, we will receive your FBA inventory in our European fulfilment centres and deliver to customers using your inventory in France and other countries.

Can I create an inbound shipment to a fulfilment centre in France?

  • If you already typically send your inventory to countries other than France, please continue sending your FBA shipments to our fulfilment centres in Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Italy.
  • If you typically only send your inbound inventory to France, and if you are using our Multi-Country Inventory or Pan-European FBA programmes, we recommend that you send your FBA shipments to our fulfilment centres located outside France for the next few weeks to make sure our French fulfilment centres can progressively ramp up.
  • If you typically only send your inbound inventory to France, and if you are not using our Multi-Country Inventory or Pan-European FBA programs, we recommend that you send your FBA shipments to our French fulfilment centres.

Which products are eligible for FBA shipments?

We will be gradually ramping up our activities over the next three weeks to ensure that our employees can resume their services progressively. As such, we will continue to focus on fulfilling the highest priority products that customers need at this time. While a broader set of products can now be sent to our fulfilment centres, we are limiting the quantity you can send for some of these products.

What about FBA inventory sent through the Partnered Carrier Programme that was in transit to a fulfilment centre located in France prior to 16 April?

We will progressively receive your FBA inventory into our French fulfilment centres starting 19 May.

Can I create removal orders for inventory units that are currently in French fulfilment centres?

To ensure we have capacity to receive, restock, and ship high-priority products like household staples and medical supplies, we have temporarily paused removal operations in some of our fulfilment centres. You can continue to create removal orders, but there will be delays in completing the requests. Similarly, auto-removals will also be delayed. Be sure to regularly check the News section in Seller Central for the latest updates.
