Using a sticker for UKCA/CE mark
We’re an American-based business and brought over a card game from the US over to the UK. We didn’t know about the UKCA/CE marking requirement for toys and was hit with a compliance request from Amazon showing that we have it on the packaging.
Unfortunately we have thousands of copies of the game produced already - is it possible to just add stickers with the UKCA/CE requirements? Would Amazon accept that?

Have you got the conformity documents to go with the mark? I would suspect from other posts that a sticker wouldn’t be enough as it’s got to be permanent

It’s more than just the CE mark, you will also need a UK plus an EU address on there too.
What age are the cards for as, I believe, if they are for over a certain age you don’t need the conformity documents? @Retro_Emporium would be the person in the know regarding that.

Thanks all for all the responses, appreciate the help here.
So if I already have thousands of units without the CE/UKCA marks, I have no choice but to dispose of them and reprint them with the correct marking + information? Should I try it with the stickers to see if Amazon will accept it in their product compliance request?
Yeah I’m looking at a few different orgs that can help with the conformity documents as well as providing a Responsible Person’s address for me to use in the UK + EU.

I wonder if a sticker would be less noticeably a sticker if it covered the whole of one face of the box and carried all the branding/information rather than just looking like an afterthought? I’ve no idea whether your packaging is just a box but I’m thinking of how, on old boxes of playing cards, where the actual box was printed only in one colour, there would often be one of the cards stuck to the back to show the design. Thinking about it, bottles of shampoo etc. have the branding and all the safety information printed onto a permanent sticker on the bottle and that is acceptable?
