Sent item to FBA without putting on heavy labels

Hi everyone,

I sent some parcels into amazon that were over 15kg (1 very large box of 42kg, one of 17kg). I forgot to mark these as heavy and UPS has already collected them. What can I do about this now? Will amazon reject my parcels, or destroy them? What’s the procedure for such a situation?

Thank you

Most likely nothing happens or you get a shipment defect. Too many defects and they limit your ability to send to FBA, so unless you’re often careless no real impact.

I assume the 42kg is a single heavy item? Otherwise there’s a limit of 23kg.

Yep, just a single large item

With the heavy box label it does protect the Amazon staff so they know it is a 2 person lift so provided no one is injured when they receive the box I do tend to agree nothing will probably happen and you won’t get a defect.

I am surprised UPS even took a 42KG box that would be some lift to the truck. I had a different UPS driver yesterday and she told me she just come back off sick after lifting a box which was too heavy from another Amazon seller. So it can have some fairly nasty consequences for people. After that I felt obliged to carry my 22KG boxes to the Van for her!
