DD + 7 March 2026
Good morning all Amazon Sellers!
We are fortunate that we have had Grandad rights after selling for many many years on Amazon and have not had the dreaded DD+7 disbursement applied until now.
I appreciate we are lucky we have had this and the majority of sellers are already on DD+7 but for those who aren't have they had any success at least delaying this as cash flow will be greatly affected by this change?

It's been deferred/delayed 5 times already since August 2023 so we have had time to prepare re cashflow. I think there is no escaping it for a 6th time:
It was meant to start on 1st August 2023.
Was deferred to 31/01/24 after sellers wrote to press and MPs.
Deferred again to 03/04/24.
Deferred again to 18/09/24.
Deferred again to 30/09/25.
Now coming into force on 6th March 2026

Another way of looking at this would be that newer sellers are unlucky and that things should be evened up by bringing newer sellers in line with older sellers - not the other way around.
I see absolutely no justification for Amazon introducing this new rule. It is making money for Amazon with absolutely no benefit for sellers

Made no difference to us as when we first started selling on amazon they held our funds in a reserve for 14 days anyway. But yes it does affect cashflow. It would be a hell of a lot easier to run my business with the money paid into my account within 24 hours like ebay do and we feel much better off!!

it’s worth noting that eBay payout within 24 hours and if an item not received case is opened against us then eBay simply take the refund out of our available funds. Simple. So these 14 day holds by Amazon are just unnecessary and sounds illegal to me

i wonder how much extra interest amazon make holding this money for 7 days

What is Grandad rights. Is it a matter of speech? I am only asking as we do sell for many many years as well and we do have the DD+7 applied.
Nevertheless, this rule, indeed has no justification. And no there should be no defferall. This should be abandoned as an idea

Sorry, this should have been a reply to @KJ_Amazon
Thank you for sharing these updates.
I see that some sellers are reporting being transitioned to DD+7 over the past few days.
I am in contact with our partner team about any possible delays. Please check back if you have specific questions about DD+7.
You make it sound as if it's a good thing!!! Only for Amazon, nothing good about it for sellers, from what I can see. I stand to be corrected.
It would be interesting to know how it protects sellers.

It's not a one off cash flow. Because what seems to be happening is Amazon are deferring DD+7 but they are not deferring the Fee's from the deferred transaction or the Advertising cost aspect?
Cost of Advertising and Shipping Services purchased through Amazon are not deferred. They will continue to be charged directly to your account at the time of purchase or service billing, which has not changed.
Fees that are part of a customer order (such as referral fees and FBA fulfillment fees) are deferred along with the order payment and will be charged when the payment for the transaction is released.
