DD + 7 March 2026
Good morning all Amazon Sellers!
We are fortunate that we have had Grandad rights after selling for many many years on Amazon and have not had the dreaded DD+7 disbursement applied until now.
I appreciate we are lucky we have had this and the majority of sellers are already on DD+7 but for those who aren't have they had any success at least delaying this as cash flow will be greatly affected by this change?

Another way of looking at this would be that newer sellers are unlucky and that things should be evened up by bringing newer sellers in line with older sellers - not the other way around.
I see absolutely no justification for Amazon introducing this new rule. It is making money for Amazon with absolutely no benefit for sellers

Made no difference to us as when we first started selling on amazon they held our funds in a reserve for 14 days anyway. But yes it does affect cashflow. It would be a hell of a lot easier to run my business with the money paid into my account within 24 hours like ebay do and we feel much better off!!
Seller_w0NuiqSLJxWvi
it’s worth noting that eBay payout within 24 hours and if an item not received case is opened against us then eBay simply take the refund out of our available funds. Simple. So these 14 day holds by Amazon are just unnecessary and sounds illegal to me

i wonder how much extra interest amazon make holding this money for 7 days

Has anyone's date passed without this being actioned? My date is 12 March.

What is Grandad rights. Is it a matter of speech? I am only asking as we do sell for many many years as well and we do have the DD+7 applied.
Nevertheless, this rule, indeed has no justification. And no there should be no defferall. This should be abandoned as an idea

Just means that the seller is "old" enough to not have DD+7 as their default disbursement method. I can't recall how old that is but it became the norm at some point. We're 20 this year (go us!) so we can disburse once goods shipped.
And - it has to be pointed out - in 20 years Amazon has never had insufficient of our funds to cover A-Z claims and refunds. So the introduction of DD+7 to our account has no basis. Grumble over :)

Our account is scheduled to move to DD+7 on 19 March 2026.
The case was internally forwarded on 17 March 2026, but we still have no response.
Could an Amazon moderator please review and escalate this case to the responsible reserve-policy / DD+7 team?
We have already submitted supporting documents showing imminent payment obligations and critical cash-flow risk.

Hello @Seller_58d4RoFhTFWwv,
Thank you for sharing your case details. I understand the concern about cash flow impact from the DD+7 transition scheduled for March 19.
DD+7 (Delivery Date + 7 days) is Amazon's standard disbursement policy that reserves funds for 7 days after delivery confirmation. This helps protect both customers and sellers by allowing time for returns and claims. For your specific case status on 12229755532, I recommend contacting Seller Support directly as they can provide the most current update on your request.
You can manage your funds through Disburse on Demand (available once daily) or the automatic 14-day disbursement cycle. The 7-day reserve applies to each order individually after delivery is confirmed.
If you need further assistance after checking with Seller Support, feel free to reach out.
Best regards,
Yujiro

18 yrs and counting for us!! this policy is crooked at best!! and I'm sure unlawful and has no basis for keeping sellers money other than to get the interest.

Sorry, this should have been a reply to @KJ_Amazon
Thank you for sharing these updates.
I see that some sellers are reporting being transitioned to DD+7 over the past few days.
I am in contact with our partner team about any possible delays. Please check back if you have specific questions about DD+7.
You make it sound as if it's a good thing!!! Only for Amazon, nothing good about it for sellers, from what I can see. I stand to be corrected.
It would be interesting to know how it protects sellers.

we now have not has a single penny from Amazon since 24th April!
payments that should have shown by '14th May'? suddenly disappear and our balnce doesnt go up!!

It's not a one off cash flow. Because what seems to be happening is Amazon are deferring DD+7 but they are not deferring the Fee's from the deferred transaction or the Advertising cost aspect?
Cost of Advertising and Shipping Services purchased through Amazon are not deferred. They will continue to be charged directly to your account at the time of purchase or service billing, which has not changed.
Fees that are part of a customer order (such as referral fees and FBA fulfillment fees) are deferred along with the order payment and will be charged when the payment for the transaction is released.
