Good morning all Amazon Sellers!
We are fortunate that we have had Grandad rights after selling for many many years on Amazon and have not had the dreaded DD+7 disbursement applied until now.
I appreciate we are lucky we have had this and the majority of sellers are already on DD+7 but for those who aren't have they had any success at least delaying this as cash flow will be greatly affected by this change?

it’s worth noting that eBay payout within 24 hours and if an item not received case is opened against us then eBay simply take the refund out of our available funds. Simple. So these 14 day holds by Amazon are just unnecessary and sounds illegal to me

What is Grandad rights. Is it a matter of speech? I am only asking as we do sell for many many years as well and we do have the DD+7 applied.
Nevertheless, this rule, indeed has no justification. And no there should be no defferall. This should be abandoned as an idea

I see that some sellers are reporting being transitioned to DD+7 over the past few days.
I am in contact with our partner team about any possible delays. Please check back if you have specific questions about DD+7.
You make it sound as if it's a good thing!!! Only for Amazon, nothing good about it for sellers, from what I can see. I stand to be corrected.
It would be interesting to know how it protects sellers.

we now have not has a single penny from Amazon since 24th April!
payments that should have shown by '14th May'? suddenly disappear and our balnce doesnt go up!!
At the point now of winding the account down and leaving Amazon!

Exactly the same here.
Last disbursement was 27/04. There's £1,000+ gone missing.
Transactions after the DD+7 show as released but not available to disburse.
The whole things seems a total mess.

We see that many sellers have questions about the ongoing rollout to the standard reserve period of seven days after delivery date, better known as “DD+7.”
Payments based on delivery date
The move to DD+7 may cause a one-time cash flow impact and temporarily limit your ability to disburse funds on or around your migration date. This is because of the change to delivery confirmation before the reserve period begins. Expect reduced cash flow for first 7-20 days as transactions become subject to DD+7. This is the temporary cash flow impact sellers experience when migrating to DD+7, as existing orders in the pipeline work through the new delivery-based reserve system.

Have you accrued fees since your last disbursement that have been charged against your balance?
Deferred transactions for accounting and payment reconciliation
Fees that are part of a customer order (such as referral fees and FBA fulfilment fees) are deferred along with the order payment and will be charged when the payment for the transaction is released. Other fees (such as Cost of Advertising, Shipping Transportation Charge and Shipping Services purchased through Amazon) will continue to be charged directly to your account at the time of purchase or service billing.
When a seller is migrated to DD+7 during an open settlement cycle, all open orders within that settlement cycle that are not yet delivered become subject to the new reserve policy. This applies retroactively to orders that are not yet delivered, including those placed prior to the DD+7 migration date. These orders will be paid out as per the applicable policy + 7 days after delivery confirmation. Until then, these orders may still display as Standard Orders but not be available to disburse.

Thank you for your reply. However; in my view it's frankly a total mess.
So I've received a response from the managing directors office escalation team which contradicts your response here.
So they have told me there is now the DD+7 policy plus a seperate 'reserve'.
It's not a one off cash flow. Because what seems to be happening is Amazon are deferring DD+7 but they are not deferring the Fee's from the deferred transaction or the Advertising cost aspect?
So for example; for 50 orders today, Amazon will take their fee's for that order immediately and deduct it from the 'total balance'. But they won't pay out that order to sellers until approx 10 days time.
How Amazon can say they implemented this to benefit and protect sellers is insulting to every seller.
