All my product reviews removed .... 16 years worth
I have 3 Amazon accounts, one for selling, one for my business (has Prime) and my personal one.
My personal one is the oldest and goes back to 2002 when I lived and worked in Romania and Egypt (rag trade). I was in the top 2000 reviewers on this account. A week ago I tried to leave a review for a music CD that I had just bought and I couldn’t. It blocked me.
“Sorry, we are unable to accept your review of this product.”
I’m a techie and have worked with PCs since I was a teenager in the 80’s. I left many reviews that were also detailed guides for new users. My dad was an electronics design engineer. I was almost born with a silicone chip in my mouth.
To find all my painstaking reviews and guides were delete was devastating. I wrote to the communities email address a week ago with no response. I have now cancelled all my subscribe and save orders and the account is now dormant. As a personal shopper of 16 years, I won’t buy from Amazon again.
I have always kept this personal life / account separate from my business. I have never left reviews for unverified purchases. I have never bought my own or competitors items or left reviews for them.
One of my colleagues googled this issue and it’s widespread. I’ve found everything I want to buy is on eBay anyway 
As a buyer, I’ve stopped buying. As a seller I am very dubious.

Absolutely deplorable…I imagine after 16 years you managed to knock up quite a few valuable reviews , which as sellers we are all more than happy to receive.
No proof, but I suspect the infamous Amazon algorithm has invalidated all reviewers who have surpassed an acceptable limit of reviews albeit 1000 - 2000 without taking into account how ever many years this has taken …sadly I have not the time or inclination to try and verify…
But however I do understand your frustration when a genuine reviewer like yourself has been snubbed in such a cruel manner.
Reviews like Feedback are precious…far and few between and should not be removed without a very good reason!

The exact same thing happened to me, my partner and some of my relatives (we don’t use the same computer/ip).
I felt the same as you as I was in the top 1000 reviewers and had made several detailed guides and video guides as well as comprehensive reviews. Even making a new account it automatically gets blocked from leaving reviews, and can’t even ask a product question as it produces an error saying your account must be ‘in good standing’ to ask a question!
The error I get when trying to leave a review is that it thinks previous reviews have been biased. Even with a brand new account! It’s very strange.
The only thing I can assume is that Amazons automated system flags buyer accounts and thinks we are paid reviewers/influencers just because we like to write helpful reviews with pics and videos. It really is very unjust.
I have not been able to write reviews for several years which is really very frustrating when you are trying to advise or warn other buyers about a product and in the end the other buyers lose out too when things aren’t quite as advertised…it’s not helpful to anyones buying experience to be restricted like this.
On the other hand, the amount of biased reviews has been getting ridiculous, theres a site I used called fakespot and before I buy anything I paste the item in there and had it analyze the reviews to make sure they are fairly legit. Too many bad chinese products out there paying people for good ratings…

This is really sad and one of the reasons why I don’t leave Amazon product reviews. As someone, who likes to write, I can’t imagine how angry would it make me seeing years of my work wiped out like this.
It is much better to have your own blog where you can publish whatever you want and it will never get removed.
I wouldn’t leave it like this. The reviews must be still saved in the system, just hidden from the view. I would advise you to contact Amazon and ask them to reinstate your reviewing privilleges as you never violated the TOS. I have read on the internet about reviewer’s accounts being terminated like this but lots of people managed to successfully appeal.

This thread is making me really curious 
. I became an authorized re-seller of a fully licensed product and sales were ticking along, nothing spectacular (…but new seller and good for learning!).
About 6 weeks ago I thought the reviews started to disappear, wasn’t sure at first… thought it was my imagination as I hadn’t exactly counted, but was convinced there were around 10 really positive 5 star product reviews. I asked the licensed distributor and they said they had tweaked the listing to encourage sales, not the reverse and no way could they remove customer reviews
Then a couple of weeks ago,as sales were non-existent, I noticed it was down to 1 review!!! Then - even that LAST review disappeared and now I have a product with zero reviews and sales have correspondingly zeroed!!
I raised an Amazon case to ask why, was it a mistake and could the reviews be reinstated? They basically said they couldn’t respond as there were various possible reasons…
Is Amazon policing reviews and is it appropriate in accordance with their formal policy and criteria for reviews?

A month on and Amazon haven’t replied to my query as to why all my reviews were removed.
Obviously I can’t read the reviews again to see where I may have stumbled. I did think back and there was a 1* review that I left for a USB cable (Apple).
I was looking for an Apple verified cable and one company was advertising and selling them on Amazon. It was a company I knew through trading standards after an adapter I bought from them on eBay made my dock explode. I ran their reviews through fakespot and it gave them an F (as in mostly fake reviews). I left a 1* review even though I hadn’t bought one as I knew the company was dangerous.
Have they reported me?
Two years ago a competitor left a 1* review of one of our products. I gave them 24 hours to remove or I would report them. It was gone in 15 minutes … 
I would never think of doing anything like that.
However I am now very disillusioned with Amazon. Deflated may be a better word. I just don’t care any more.

I should add that on this selling account I have made numerous appeals about reviews that are purely about the FBA delivery experience. Totally ignored and left as 1* product reviews.
