Product images changing on best selling ASINs

Has anyone else experienced issues with best selling ASINs having the product images updated to products completely irrelevant to the product being sold.

Just as a bit of background, we are brand registered and enrolled within Amazon brand registry, so are the only authorised sellers of our branded products. All our products are apparel, so T-Shirts, Hoodies and Sweaters. Over the last few years we’ve seen out product increasingly lose viability to likes of sellers with offerings in Amazon Brand Merch, to the point where you can’t find most of our products, even by typing the product title word for word. Very much come to terms that sales would decreased but now we’re faced with another issue of all out bestselling listing up and change their images as and when they please. The images will be for another product in our catalogue but completely unrelated to the one on the listing page. Whats more, we haven’t performed updates on the products in months, so it’s not as if we’ve accidentally changed this with an incorrect feed upload etc. But customers are then purchasing products and obviously not receiving what they thought they were purchasing.

We’re also finding a lot of our Parent and Child variations becoming disconnected all the time. So one day they will be working fine, the next day customers are unable to choose sizes, colours etc, because the products are no longer linked. It’s as if someone it purposely out to sabotage any listings which we still have good sales on.

Be good to see if anyone else is facing this issue. I will note we’re also having this issue on other Amazon selling accounts we manage as well. Again all best selling listings.

We’ve had it in the past, a branded grocery item had its images replaced by those of a phone screen. It’s, as usual, a week long journey on the SS 360 degree wheel of torture to get it fixed, just try to stick with it and eventually you should get somewhere if you are brand registered, even though that particular dept., is the most pitiful attempt at a service, we have ever come across. Unfortunately, we have current issues relating to the usual insanity on this platform, a confectionery item, re-routed by AI into Home & Garden, and a Confectionery Hamper, into Pet Supplies. Just another day in the life…

Oh, I almost forgot, we have a third issue with a huge confectionery brand that has 226 million TT views, that robot initially insisted was a “self tanning” product, “to give customers the best possible browsing experience”. We eventually got around that, listed it as a “sweet gift”, which would be correct, and now it has no sales ranking as robot has moved it into “soft & chewy”, a browse node, in robots own words, “it isnt eligible for”. All makes perfect sense as you can see.

We have been on this all week and have just received this update - there is hope, so stick with it and with perseverance and a bit of luck you should get your issues resolved !

Hello from Amazon Brand Registry Support,

My name is David; thank you for contacting us to review the category for the ASIN. We understand the importance of this matter.

After careful review, we found that the ASIN was incorrectly categorized as a PET PRODUCT. For this reason, we have contacted our team of specialists. They are currently investigating this issue and will update you as soon as additional information is available.

We appreciate your patience and for bringing this matter to our attention.

Best regards,

David S.

There’s an ongoing thread about some of these issues. Here:

It seems to be a big problem in clothing at the moment. I’m bashing my head against the SS wall to try and get some fixed at the moment.
