Amazon has destroyed my product without my Permission
Some context:
-Amazon removes my listing without warning and says I cannot list it again
-I create removal order
-1 month later a portion is sent to the address, and the rest is cancelled
-There is some missing product from what I have received vs what they say I have received
- I contact support, they say to create another removal, but I still don’t see the units. Regardless, I follow FBA advice.
- 2 months of communications and I still havent received my product, even after creating another removal order
- Now I find out they have cancelled my removal order and have destroyed the products instead.
What are my options?? I requested a removal order which they cancelled without notification and raised a disposal order without notification…Surely this can’t be legal??

Yes it’s legal, as part of your contract with Amazon you agree that they can do stuff like this for more-or-less any reason. It’s also possible you have automated removals enabled and set to dispose for unsellable inventory, in which case you’ve actually asked for this to happen.
Based on the steps you’ve mentioned, I would assume that your product was blocked due being flagged as Hazmat, If you say what the product was then someone might have a rough idea as to why it would get blocked.
Assuming it was classed as Hazmat, without the proper documentation then Amazon’s couriers will refuse to take the shipment, hence the cancelled removal orders.
You can try to request reimbursement through the seller support contact, from seller central go to help (the ? in the upper right) -> get support -> “or, browse for your issue in the menu” -> request inventory removal reimbursement (disposal is also classed as “removal” in this context)
They will usually reimburse the amount you would have been paid (after fees/etc.) if the items had sold, though the sale price is based on item history (yours and other sellers) so it can be higher or lower depending on the prior sales.
