Error 8541 conflicts with the value
Hello everyone and thanks for reading this.
I have a problem with several ASINs. These ASINs were created by mistake some time ago in the category: 'CONSUMER_ELECTRONICS' when they should have been created as “KNIFE”.
We didn't think much of it, as they ended up selling. But now we need to create variations of some of them, and of course they conflict with the error:
8541: The value 'KNIFE' specified cannot be used as it conflicts with the value 'CONSUMER_ELECTRONICS' for ASIN 'XXXXXXXXXXX' in the Amazon catalog. If this is ASIN 'XXXXXXXXXXX', update the value to match the ASIN data. If this is a different product, update identifying information (UPC/EAN/Part Number/etc.)
I have opened several tickets, but they just tell me to upload the item again (which would lose the reviews for those ASINs or SKUs).
Can anyone tell me how I can change that attribute? I've tried uploading a file with KNIFE's “full-update” but it doesn't do anything.
I hope someone can read this message and help me change this attribute.

Could you by chance provide us with the CASE IDs your worked them on so I can begin to investigate this issue a bit further?
