Yet another scandalous A-z claim lost

Recently sold an item and buyer filed a claim stating he didn't receive it. I provided Royal Mail tracking that clearly showed it was delivered but I lost the claim anyway. I then appealed, this time I provided photo proof which showed the buyer's door, open, with parcels next to the open door. Guess what - I lost the appeal.

What's laughable is the contradiction in their reasoning:

The customer reported an issue with delivery. In this case, the tracking information indicates 'delivered', but the customer did not receive the package. Because you provided sufficient information that proves the order was actually received by the customer, we will not count the claim against your Order Defect Rate.

At worst Amazon should have refunded this, not me. Can a mod please assist with hopefully getting this overturned? Thanks. The order number is 204-7397917-2533937

that statement has been around for about a year now.

do a letter before action against amazon. They would have to provide the evidence there that they believe you delivered the parcel and someone argue against their own statement to win.

I had exactly the same issue.

Sent item with Royal Mail Tracked 48. Tracking shows delivery, and photograph of my item, together with others, being handed over to the customer.

Customer said item not received.

Amazon refunded customer in full for the reason "protecting the buyer experience on amazon" and deducted the funds from me!

Simply outrageous.

Forget about it. One time, I had the Royal Mail image with the parcel in the customer's hand. Still, I lost the claim. If there is no signature, you will lose the claim every time.

We had exactly the same thing happen two days ago but with parcelforce and including a signature. Same statement and it had been denied 2x previously by the a-z team and the customer kept reopening the claim.

Unfortunately this is how amazon works.

Besides the proof of delivery. A customer reached out that he is not happy with the purchase and wanted a refund. I asked them to send the item back for full refund, they did not send the item back and Amazon refunded them anyway.

We've had the same happen here, nearly £1000 worth of goods we are now out of pocket on, same buyer on two different orders.

It's absolutely scandalous!
